Dr. Golan Nissim founded Performance Care Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Center in Toluca Lake in 1998. For nearly 30 years he has treated patients whose injuries don’t fit a simple plan: professional athletes trying to get back to competition, performers who can’t afford time off, post-surgical patients rebuilding strength, and people with chronic pain who have already tried the usual approaches.

His clinical work focuses on how the body moves and where that movement breaks down. Dr. Nissim combines biomechanical assessment with hands-on soft tissue treatment. He is a certified provider and instructor of Active Release Techniques® (ART®), and he is also certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) therapy, diagnostic ultrasound applications, and the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) golf fitness program. For complex or stubborn musculoskeletal cases, he is a certified Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA) provider and coordinates MUA care alongside the clinic’s pain management team.

As clinic director, Dr. Nissim oversees a multidisciplinary practice where chiropractic, PT rehabilitation, pain management, and medical care work together on each patient’s case. He is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) for the State of California.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Nissim has served on the Ironman medical team,  on-site chiropractor for USA Gymnastics. He has been an advisor for  television and film productions, and has cared for professional musicians and touring artists.

Dr. Nissim,  has been named one of the 10 Best Chiropractors in California every year, since 2016.  He has also been recognized each year since 2017 as Best of Toluca Lake and as a Top Chiropractor by Los Angeles Magazine. He is also a best selling author of *The Healing Hands: A Doctor’s Journey of Musculoskeletal Marvels*.
